Still in route to Ushuaia, but currently on a detour through heaven: La Patagonia
We have made it to Paradise, aka Patagonia. Scenery that is on par with the real greats of this trip such as Alaska, BC Canada, and Yosemite. It seems as if mother nature has done some of her best work at the extreme reaches of the Western Hemisphere. As we transition into winter the road has basically become our own playground, except for the occasional local passing by. The weather has become much cooler and wetter, but we were gifted with 2 days of complete sunshine as we entered this magical place where the mountains erupt upwards from the sea and glaciers are everywhere to be seen. We are currently in the small village of Villa Santa Lucia, roughly 70 km south of Chaiten, Los Lagos, Chile.
